"Q1 2024 Conservative - Board Approved"
"Series A Budget - Aggressive Growth"
"FY2024 v2 - Updated with Q1 Actuals"
"Board Meeting March 2024 - Moderate Scenario"❌ Avoid:
"Budget 1"
"New Budget"
"Test"
"Untitled"
"Final"Naming convention template:
[Time Period] [Purpose] - [Scenario] [Version]
Examples:
"Q2 2024 Operations - Conservative"

"2024 Annual Plan - Aggressive"2. Save Multiple Scenarios
Recommended approach:
Conservative - Cautious assumptions

"FY2024 Budget - Aggressive"3. Version Your Budgets
When updating budgets, include version numbers:

4. Add Context to Names
Include why the budget was created:

"FY2024 Budget - Post Series A Raise"
"2024 Budget - Conservative (COVID Contingency)"5. Regular Review Schedule
Quarterly:
- Review saved budgets
- Compare to actuals
- Note what assumptions were accurate/inaccurate
When significant changes occur:
- Generate and save updated budget
- Reference original for comparison
